HOWARD BRIMMER
Howard Brimmer, 90, of Brooklyn, died Saturday night, July 9, in Grinnell Hospital.
Services for Mr. Brimmer were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, 1994, in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Joe Rogers officiated and the organist was Mrs. Marilyn Kriegel.
Casket-bearers were Roger Sumner, Neal Sumner, Scott Sumner, Rick Robinson, Wallace Roth, and George Henle. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn.
A Rosary Service was held at 7:30 p.m., Monday, in the Nevenhoven Funeral Home led by Fr. Joe Rogers.
Howard Brimmer, son of Nealy Brimmer and Luetta Hilligas Brimmer, was born March 2, 1904, near Brooklyn. He received his education in a rural school.
On Nov. 8, 1927, Howard was united in marriage to Emma E. Roth in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Brooklyn.
Howard worked for many years as a bridge foreman for Poweshiek County Secondary Roads. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Emma; one daughter, Barbara Sumner of Marion; one sister, Beulah Roth of Brooklyn; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
