WILMA KEEFE

Wilma J. Keefe, 75, 1106 2nd Ave., Silvis, Ill., died early Tuesday morning, Nov. 21, 1989 at Illini Hospital, Silvis. Services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, and at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, where she was a member. Burial was in Greenview Memorial Gardens, Silvis.

The daughter of Nealy and Loretta Brimmer, she was born Aug. 14, 1914 in Belle Plaine. She graduated from Brooklyn High School with the class of 1933.

On Dec. 27, 1937 she married Carroll Keefe in Brooklyn. The couple lived in Brooklyn and moved to Silvis a number of years ago. Mrs. Keefe was co-manager of the Silvis Dry Goods Store and in her leisure time loved to golf.

Survivors include her husband, Carroll; daughters Bonnie Thompson, Rock Island, and Patricia Gluba, Davenport; sons Charles "Cookie" Keefe, Fairfield, Calif., and Tim Keefe, Silvis, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters Beulah Roth, Brooklyn, and Frieda Hajny, Sioux City, and a brother, Howard Brimmer, Brooklyn.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Relatives attending the funeral were Howard and Emma Brimmer, Beulah Roth and Stanley and Kay Walford of Brooklyn and Barb Sumner of Marion.
