CARROLL C. KEEFE

Carroll C. Keefe, 89, of Silvis, Ill., died July 8 at Illini Hospital there.

A funeral was 10 a.m. Thursday, July 11, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Burial was in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, Ill. Memorials may be made to the Father Pro men's club at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Mr. Keefe was born Aug. 3, 1912, in Brooklyn, the son of Charles and Rose (Gray) Keefe.

On Dec. 27, 1937, he married Wilma Jean Brimmer in Brooklyn.

He was a conductor for Rock Island Lines, retiring in 1975 after 35 years of service. He also delivered flowers for Churuvias Florist and Knee's Florist.

He belonged to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and the church's Father Pro men's club. He also belonged to the Moline Vikings Club and was a life member of United Transportation Union.

Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie (& Larry) Thompson, Rock Island, Ill., and Patricia (& Bill) Gluba, Davenport; two sons, Charles (& Sherri) Keefe of Fairfield, Calif., and Tim Keefe, Silvis; 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

His wife died Nov. 21, 1989.

He also was preceded in death by sisters Mildred Wetland and Arlene Baetzel; and a brother, Paul Keefe.
