RITES TUESDAY FOR ORVAL V. FULLERTON

Funeral services for Orval Fullerton, 65, who died suddenly at his home here Saturday evening following a heart attack, were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at Grace Methodist church with the Rev. M.C. Shupe, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Gilbert Sumner was organist.

Burial was in the Brooklyn I.O.O.F. cemetery with August Antheunis, H.B. McMullin, Kendal Andrews, Harold Michael, Howard Patten and Maynard McLain serving as pallbearers. In charge of floral arrangements were Mrs. Howard Patten and Mrs. Kendall Andrews.

The son of Eli and Hattie Fullerton, Orval V. Fullerton was born Feb. 14, 1890, at Freemont, Nebr. and died Nov. 19, 1955, at Brooklyn, Ia. He moved with his parents to Missouri when a young child and later moved to Aulton, Kan. where he farmed for many years. He was married August 19, 1914, to Bertha Bull of Waterville, Kan. and the family lived in Aulton, Kan. until 1941 when they came to Brooklyn to live. Two daughters were born to the couple, Valda and Lucille.

He was a member of the Methodist church and took an active part in Grace Methodist church during his life here.

Survivors include his widow, Bertha; his daughters, Mrs. Daryl Brannian of Brooklyn and Mrs. Wayne Smith of LaGrange, Ill.; three brothers, Andrew, Ernest and Duard, all of Clinton; five sisters, Mrs. Forrest Uhl of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Clyde Matherly of Grinnell, Mrs. B.R. Thoren of Des Moines, Mrs. Joe Pierce of Peebles, Wisc., and Mrs. Earl Force of Brooklyn. He also leaves one granddaugher, Marilyn Brannian.
