FORMER BROOKLYNITE BURIED LAST WEEK

Funeral services for Ernest Fullerton, 77, of Clinton, formerly of Brooklyn, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Nevenhoven Funeral Home. Mr. Fullerton died Wednesday, July 7 in the Wyndorest Nursing Home in Clinton.

Rev. Fred Pierce, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church officiated. The organist was Mrs. Sonny Schneekloth. Casket bearers were Charles Uhl, Glenn Matherly, Robert Fullerton, Michael Fullerton, Andrew Fullerton, and Mathew Fullerton. Interment was in IOOF cemetery.

Ernest Edward Fullerton was born on April 11, 1899, in Mendota, Missouri, the son of Eli C. and Hattie M. Corbin Fullerton. Mr. Fullerton was a stationary fireman at Schick Vets. Hospital in Clinton, Iowa retiring in 1960.

A veteran of WW II he belonged to the American Legion June Van Meter Post 190 in Clinton, and the National Assoc. of Retired Federal Employees.

He is survived by two brothers, Andrew and James, both of Clinton; and 3 sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Vernice) Pierce of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Don (Sylvia) Perry of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. Forrest (Nellie) Uhl of Indianapolis, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Orville, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Earl (Zilla) Force and Mrs. Clyde (Mae) Matherly of Grinnell.
