FORMER RESIDENT IS BURIED HERE

Funeral services for Eli Crittenden Fullerton, who died in a Grinnell hospital on Thursday, December 22, were held Monday afernoon at one o'clock from the James Funeral home in Grinnell.

Burial was in the Odd Fellows cemetery here.

Eli Crittenden Fullerton for many years a resident of Brooklyn died of pneumonia at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mae Matherly, in Grinnell, last Thursday, December 22.

Mr. Fullerton was born at Honeywell, Missouri, June 20, 1860.

In 1889 he was united in marriage with Miss Hattie Mae Corbin, who passed away May 25, 1912.

All of his early life was spent in Missouri. Coming to Brooklyn in 1914 he has been in or near Brooklyn ever since. There are nine children all of whom survive their father. All are present except Mrs. Sylvia Hunter of Winslow, Arizona. There are grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Four sisters also survive--Mrs. Isabelle Haines, Mendota, Mo., Mrs. Catherine Shadden, Mendota, Mo., Mrs. Julia Smith, Mountain Grove, Mo., Mrs. Anna Earl, Alton, Kansas.

The children who survive are Mrs. Nellie Uhl, Brooklyn, Ia., Mrs. Mae Matherly, Grinnell, Ia., Earnest E. and Andrew T. of Clinton, Ia., Mrs. Vernice Pierce, Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Zilla Force, Brooklyn, Ia., and James Duard of Green Island, Ia.

Funeral services were held Monday at 1 P.M. at the James Funeral Home in Grinnell, conducted by the Rev. E.W.F. Holler of Brooklyn.

The pall bearers were: George and Charles Uhl, Glen and Bernard Matherly, Lester Harris and Walter Shadden.

Interment was in IOOF cemetery at Brooklyn, Ia.

NOTE: This obit did not mention his son Orval.
