Silby S. Goin was born at Brooklyn, Iowa in 1884, and passed away at St. Joseph, Mo. on August 1, 1935, aged 51 years, 2 months and 29 days.

On October 6, 1900 she was married to Phillip S. Goin at Brooklyn, Iowa. To this union were six children, Mrs. Menn Travernicht of near Liberty, Mrs. Emil Young of Forest City, Mo., Chester Goin of Shenandoah, Ia., Orvil Goin of St. Joseph, Mo., Mrs. Gomer Wilson of St. Joseph, Mo., Melvin Goin of Forest City, Mo.

She leaves to mourn her passing the six children, seven grandchildren, two sisters Mrs. George Gilbreaith and Mrs. Frank Veverka, four brothers Jake, Elver, Elza and Jene, besides other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the Liberty cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon August 3, conducted by Rev. Harvey, pastor of the Congregational church, where the body was laid to rest.

The sorrowing ones have the sympathy of all who know them. Jesus said: "Let not your hearts be troubled, ye believe in God, believe also in me." John 14:1.
