GRINNELL, IA., - Edna Mae Stewart of Grinnell died of cancer Wednesday at Friendship Manor Nursing Home. She was 84. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Stewart was born near Malcom and lived in Poweshiek County all her life. She was a retired elementary school teacher, a charter member of the Poweshiek County Retired Teachers Association and a member of Grinnell United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Iowa State Education Association, Beulah Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and the Grinnell General Hospital Auxiliary.

Among survivors are her husband, Delmar; a son, Roger, a sister, Louise Neister, and a brother, Donald Larsen, all of Grinnell; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
