GRINNELL, IA. - Cecil D. Simpson, 93, of Grinnell died of a stroke Wednesday at Friendship Manor Nursing Home, where she was a resident for 13 years. The body has been cremated and a private graveside memorial service will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery at a later date.

Mrs. Simpson, a homemaker, was born in Oelwein and lived in McGregor, Union, Sigourney and Washington before moving here in 1973. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie Peiffer of Grinnell; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
