GRINNELL, IA. - Gerald A. Sarver, 84, of Grinnell died of a heart ailment Friday at Grinnell General Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at first Friends Church, with burial at Hazlewood Cemetery.

Mr. Sarver was born in New Sharon and had lived in Grinnell since 1964. He was a retired worker for Grinnell College's building and grounds department.

Survivors include his wife, Fern; two sons, Gerald and Randall, both of Hot Springs, Ark.; a daughter, Sandra Willemsen of Grinnell; three brothers, Melvin of Detroit, Robert of Farmington Hills, Mich., and Keith of Whittier, Calif.; ten Grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon today at Smith Funeral Home here, where the family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register, January 1996
