GRINNELL, IA. - Eula B. Jones, 80, of Grinnell died of cancer Wednesday at Grinnell General Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Grinnell United Methodist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones was born in Redding and had lived in Grinnell since 1952. She retired as assistant librarian of Stewart Library and had been a member of PEO and the Historical and Literary Club. She also was a former volunteer worker at Grinnell General Hospital.

Among survivors are two daughters, Marjorie Vandervelde of Waterloo and Linda Hall of Kalamazoo, Mich.; three sons, William of West Branch, Michael of Bettendorf and David of Muscatine; a brother, William McQuigg of Boulder, Colo.; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or the library. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register February 1990
