Body Identified as Grinnell Woman

DES MOINES (UPI) - Authorities said they will begin interviewing friends and relatives of Camille Njus, the 20-year-old Grinnell woman whose dead body was found near an access road to the Des Moines River.

An autopsy Wednesday failed to reveal a cause of death for Ms. Njus, officials said, but they said they believed foul play was involved. The body was identified through dental records.

Dr. Dale Grunewalk, a deputy Polk County medical examiner, said Ms. Njus may have died Aug. 4, the last day she was seen. Ms. Njus worked for the state Department of Transportation and last was seen leaving a hair salon in northern Des Moines. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register, October 1978
