Zella G. Hall, 82, Grinnell died of cancer Monday at Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Malcom.

Mrs. Hall was born in Brooklyn and moved to Grinnell in 1967 from Malcom. She retired as a clerk at Graham's Department Store in Grinnell and was a member of Malcom United Presbyterian Church and United Presbyterian Women.

Among survivors are two sons, Charles of Dixon, Mo., and Norman of Malcom; a daughter, Leila Henkle of Montezuma; a brother, Joe Billick of Brooklyn; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three-great-great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to her church. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, January 1995
