The Montezuma Republican, December 13, 1945. Alex DUFFUS Died Monday Morning--Funeral Wednesday. Funeral services are being said this afternoon over the body of Alex DUFFUS, 96 years of age, who died Monday morning at the home of his daughter, in Leon. Word came of the death to Mr. and Mrs. E.F. SAUNDERS, Mr. SAUNDERS had just written his daughter, Mrs. Earl DUFFUS in Alaska, a letter, but had time to put the sorrowful information into the mails. Mr. DUFFUS was stricken Tuesday, a week ago. His son, A. L. DUFFUS of Brooklyn, went to see his father, but thought at the time there was no hopes for the beloved man. Last summer Mr. DUFFUS made his annual visit home and all enjoyed visiting with him.
