ESTEEMED WOMAN DEAD

Mrs. R. Pierce Answers the Final Summons at the Family Residence.

Mrs. R. Pierce of 155 West Locust St. died at the family residence on Friday evening at five o’clock after an illness of a weeks duration, death resulting from heart failure. Mrs. Pierce had been a resident of this city for the past year and had won many friends by the beauty of her character and the kindliness of her disposition. She was 28 years, 6 months and 25 days old at the time of her death and is survived by her husband and three little daughters. – Dubuque Journal.

Again the death Angel has entered the family circle of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Razey within a short month and taken away their youngest daughter, Mrs. Ollie Razey Pierce, whose home had been among us until her marriage to Mr. Richard Pierce, seven years ago the 13th of June. She was born in Poweshiek Co., six miles north of Brooklyn, in Madison, and moved to Brooklyn with her parents when quite young. She attended the Brooklyn public schools.

She was born Nov. 2nd 1875, and departed this life May 27, 1904, just as the little ones need a mother’s care. Leaving three little daughters, besides a husband, a father and a mother, a brother and sister to mourn her loss, and a host of friends who extend their sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones in their double affliction in so short a time. The funeral services were at the residence in Dubuque on Sunday, May 29th and the remains were tenderly laid away to rest until the Resurrection morn. God doeth all things well. His will, not ours.
