BUCKET BRIGADE
FIGHTS THE FLAMES

Fire at the home of Fred Maschmann three miles northeast of Victor caused probably $150 worth of damage Thursday afternoon. The blaze was in a woodshed adjacent to the dwelling and caught from an oil stove. The fire was prevented from spreading, and little damage was done to the dwelling house except scorch the paint.

Neighbors with buckets kept the blaze under control, although they could not extinguish the fire entirely until it had burned itself out. A call was sent to Victor for the department here and the boys responded, aiding in checking the spread of the fire. There was insurance on the dwelling.--Victor Record.
