July 28, 1925BROOKLYN MAN IS
ALMOST DROWNEDPaul Diehl narrowly escaped drowning Sunday at the Iowa river. He was pulled out of deep water by Andrew Coon and Art Pelham. Paul had been swimming for a considerable length of time. He seemed to get caught by an undercurrent and went down. Andrew Coon went to his rescue and was pulled under once himself before he was able to drag Paul to shallow water. By this time the other members of the party were able to be of assistance and prevent a tragedy.--Brooklyn Chronicle.
