The Grinnell (IA) Herald
March 15, 1912A party of Grinnell young people discovered on Tuesday evening that not even a bob ride waits for a fire alarm. They had piled into their conveyance and were gaily patrolling the town, when suddenly the fire whistle sounded. Their team was the only one available. Out they were hustled, in piled the firemen and were whirled away to fight the bad blaze at the Nutt home on Eighth Avenue. The bob riders waited patiently for about an hour when their rig and driver were returned to them and they were allowed to finish their interrupted expedition.
