MARY GILFILLAN WEDS ARTHUR C. THOMPSON

Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Mary Gilfillan and Mr. Arthur C. Thompson which took place at the University Church of Christ parsonage in Des Moines on Saturday, March 17, the Rev. C.S. Medbury officiating.

The bride's dress was of peach colored flat crepe and her corsage bouquet was of pink roses. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Orin Wheeler of this city. Following the ceremony they went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Wheeler where an elaborate wedding dinner was served. They went to Bondurant for a short wedding trip where they were guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Justice.

Mrs. Thompson has been the night operator at the telephone office for the past sixteen years where she has been faithful and efficient in her duties.

Mr. Thompson until the first of the year was night clerk at the Maytag Hotel in Newton and came to Grinnell at that time to take a similar position at the Monroe Hotel.

Mrs. Thompson will continue to work for a few months. They are now at home at the Monroe Hotel.
