MRS. ORMISTON STARTS HATCHERY

Having a chicken hatchery located in Brooklyn, especially near the business district, will doubtlessly prove to be a very interesting place for many to visit.

Mrs. Lyle Ormiston, owner of the Poweshiek Hatchery, as it will be better known, has spent considerable time the last few weeks getting the Legion Hall in readiness for business.

The 10,000-egg incubator, work tables, electric brooders and other equipment have been installed and already 2,500 eggs have been put into the incubator and the first hatch is due to come off on February 6th.

Mrs. Ormiston has made a study of the raising of poultry for the past five years and is well informed on the ways and means of giving them the very best care. She is using only the eggs that come from the best flocks near here and thus can assure her customers of obtaining only the best breeds of chickens. She invites everyone to visit the hatchery and see the sanitary conditions under which the business is conducted.

Later she expects to have display windows made so that she can better show the merchandise she has for sale to those passing by.
