Montezuma Republican; Sept. 17, 1890

--John Carter and Miss Emma L. Sleggle, of Brooklyn, were married at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Shirk, near Oxford, Sept. 10th, Rev. J.M. Coats officiating. The many friends of the contracting parties extend congratulations. They at once took possession of the home John had provided, north of town.
