MARRIAGE OF DORIS THOMPSON
AND WILLIAM HILLIGAS ANNOUNCED.

Blue Point, Ia. May 19. Special:

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Thompson of near Searsboro announce the marriage of their oldest daughter, Doris Velma to Mr. William Hilligas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hilligas of Brooklyn, Iowa.

The wedding took place at Newton, Iowa, Thursday morning, May 18, using the single ring ceremony.

This was also the groom's birthday.

The bride was very becomingly dressed in pearl gray flat crepe while the groom wore a dark blue suit.

They were attended by the bride's mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Thompson, and by the groom's mother, Mrs. Hilligas.

The bride grew to womanhood in this vicinity and was a graduate of the Searsboro high school a year ago. Since then she has been at home with her parents.

The bridegroom is a Brooklyn boy, but has spent the last two years working in this neighborhood and has made many new friends here who join with their relatives and friends in wishing them many happy years together.

After the ceremony they came back to the home of the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Binegar, who had perpared a wedding dinner for them.

Those present beside the host and hostess were Mr. and Mrs. Will Aldey, also grandparents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Thompson and Bessie, Mr. and Mrs. Will Hilligas, and Mrs. Frank Hilligas of Brooklyn.

They will make their home with the bride's parents, where Will has been working for some time.
