LLOYD SISCO TAKEN BACK TO ARMY POST

An army officer from Ft. Des Moines, accompanied by Sheriff Fred Cochran, was in town this morning to take Lloyd Sisco into custody on a charge of desertion from the army.

Sisco was taken to Ft. Des Moines by the officer. Just how his case will be disposed of was not yet known. He will be given a hearing either at Ft. Des Moines or Ft. Benning, Ga., where he was stationed when he deserted on May 6.

According to the army sergeant from Ft. Des Moines, Sisco definitely had received no discharge from the army. He had been listed as a deserter since May 16.

Sheriff Cochran could not say what punishment is meted out for desertion, but predicted that Sisco will be given sufficient time in the guard house to contemplate the advantages of serving out his year with no more A.W.O.L. escapades.
