Mr. Harry Carlstrom and Miss Anna Swanson were married at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. Elmer Bortell, at six o’clock Saturday evening by the Rev. J.M. McClelland. Thus are united two of Poweshiek’s best families. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. O.T. Carlstrom living three miles north of town and the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Swanson, who formerly lived northeast of this city but are now located in Alberta, Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Carlstrom are most excellent young people of good character and are well known in this vicinity where they have been prominent socially among their wide circle of friends. They will on a farm near town and will doubtless meet with the success which attends careful farming by competent and industrious young people in Iowa and which makes it profitable to farm land worth $100 or more an acre. The Herald extends its hearty congratulations to this worthy couple and the best wishes of many friends go with them into the home where domestic life opens up for them so brightly.
