Joseph Depew - Death abt. 1852 need State Census Lookup

I'm researching direct line of Joseph Depew found in 1850 IA census with family Wealthy Elmer. 1852 called the LDS people to head west & only the children went. A state census of 1852 shows listing of all family members. However, I'm not able to track an 1854 or 1856 state census for IA. Can anyone with access, please do a lookup for me please. I'm in Canada. If you have the internet link for me to do it, that's fine too.

I have a copy of daughter's obit that says mom Wealthy Elmer died at Big Pigeon, Council Bluffs, but I have not been able to locate grave site. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.
