I am seeking information on the family of my cousins Eli & Lydia Ann (SHOEMAKER) RUNYON who came to Pottawattamie County between 1870 and 1880. Eli was a railroad engineer and the family moved to Iowa from Highland County, OH. Eli & Lydia had 14 children, of whom 9 were living in the 1900 census. Eli was born 2 Sep 1838 and died before April 1900. Lydia was born 20 Nov 1840 and died after April 1900. Known children were Clara Belle (d. in OH); Charles; Anna; John; Laura Lucille; Ross (m. Inez ____); Daniel F. (m. Alma J. _____); William Clayton (m. Susan Maude BALL); Nellie; Joseph W.; and Edward.
