I am seeking contact with any researcher who has looked over Avoca and Knox township materials for the early 1870s, particularly 1874, 1875, 1872.
Does anyone know if the 1875 state census records for Avoca and Knox township have been transcribed or indexed?
The family (usually dairy farmers) I am seeking information on consisted of:

Samuel (sometimes written Lemuel) J. Wharton...born 1840

Elma Wharton....born 1846

Alice Amanda Wharton..born 1867

Charles Henry Wharton...born 1872

Margaret Mae Wharton...born 1874 in Avoca

Jennie Wharton ...born 1879
This family is back in Polk county, Iowa by 1880.
Religion not known, but probably not of Catholic faith.
I will be grateful for any suggestions.
