UP DATE:
Thanks to Henry C. Brandes Mrs. Lipfert was escorted back to her home and family in Germany in 1900. We still need to locate which town and under which family name she resided until her death one year later. Any Henry C. Brandes jounal entries for May 1900 (or prior to) as he, serving as a county commissioner, communicated with her German family and escorted Mrs. Lipfert to New York (or possibly on to Germany) would be of great assistance.
