Ida E. Lipfert

In following our great grandmother the trail ends in 1892 where Clarinda Mental Hospital records claim Ida E. (Gleichman) Lipfert (they erroneously had her listed as Sipfert which another family member recently requested be corrected) was transferred to St. Bernard's Hospital, Council Bluffs. Ida does not appear in the 1900 census of St. Bernard's Inmates. The facility which took over for St. Bernard's has advised the afore mentioned family member that "the records were no longer of use to them so they have been burned"! I continue to attempt to locate Ida somewhere - anywhere - outside institutional care but really need to follow her trail immediately after her transfer (1892) from Clarinda care to St. Bernards.
