Grant Sweeny

Grant Sweeny, 65, 119 Lincoln Avenue, died at 7am Sunday (April 8, 1934) after an illness of three months at a local hospital.

He was a member of Excelsior Lodge No 259, A F and A M Harmony Chapter No 25, O E S and Park City Lodge of I O O F. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Mr. Sweeny is survived by his widow, Dolly; one son, Roy L Sweeny of Sidney; five daughters, Mrs. A.A. Christiansen and Mrs. Cecil Spears of Minden, Mrs. Stanley Hunter, Mrs. Clark Hough and Mrs. R E Green of Council Bluffs; one sister; Mrs. Henrietta Henning of Alegan, Michigan and eleven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 pm (April 10, 1934) at the Broadway Methodist Church, preceded by a short service at the residence at 2 pm, Dr. A A Heath officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill cemetery.
