Genevieve C. Vallinch
Genevieve C. Vallinch, age 90, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away July 8, 2009, at Bethany Lutheran Home.
She was born in Portsmouth, Iowa, on March 19, 1919, to the late Henry and Jenny (Whaley) Baxter. Genevieve was a sales clerk at the Peoples Store and was a resident of Council Bluffs for the past 65 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Vallinch; two brothers, Russell Baxter and Louis Baxter.
Genevieve is survived by her daughter, Anita Graybill; son, Rodney Krugerand his wife, Shari; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Vigil Service will be Friday, 6 p.m., followed by visitation with the family until 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial is Saturday, 10 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, Rev. Dan Kirby officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Bethany Lutheran Home.
