Gordon Keith Jacobsen, 61, of Council Bluffs died May 29 at his home.

He was born in Carrol, Neb., on Oct. 25, 1941, to Carl F. and Opal L. (Porter). He had lived in Council Bluffs for the past 35 years. He graduated from high school in Lincoln, Neb., and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

He worked as a market development representative for Pepsi-Cola Co. retiring in October, 2001 after 26 years of service. He and his wife were owners of Nixon Body Shop and Rhino Linings of Council Bluffs. He was a member of the Eagles Club 154 in South Omaha.

He and his wife, Dianne K. (Pendergraft) were married on Nov. 12, 1975.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Lisa Woods, of Council Bluffs and Kelly Jacobsen of Salt Lake City, Utah; a son, William Karl and his fiance, Kristen Wehner of Omaha; two grandsons, Jeremy Woods of Council Bluffs and Bradley Jacobsen of Salt Lake City; a sister, LeAura Barker of Marble Falls, Texas; three nephews and his mother-in-law, Marjorie
Magnussen, of Council Bluffs.

Visitation with the family will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m.
at the funeral home with the Rev. Delbert Story officiating. Burial will be in Grange Cemetery followed by a luncheon at Hazel Dell United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be offered to the American Heart Association, Iowa affiliate.
