The funeral for Paul C. "Cal" Forristall, 62, of Council Bluffs will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer- Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwayne Riche officiating.

Mr. Forristall died June 1 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

He was born on a farm near Macedonia to Paul C. and Alta (Simmons) Forristall on May 4, 1941. He graduated in 1958 from Macedonia High School. He served in the U.S. Army. He retired in May 2003 as a truck driver for Ready Mix Concrete after 37 years of service. He was an outstanding athlete in high school. He loved to hunt and fish, and he loved his cabin on the river.

Mr. Forristall was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joyce Owens.

Survivors include daughter, Rhonda Riley, and husband, Tom; sons, Richard and wife, Sandra, Randal and wife, Michelle, all of Council Bluffs; five grandchildren, Kendra, Cerissa, Klinton, Kelsie and Grant Forristall; four sisters, Jo Ann Weaver and husband, Gayle, of Denver, Colo., Betty Brumley and husband, Lee, of Carson, Judith Fantry of Carter Lake and Janet King of Langley, Wash.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery with a lunch following at 23788 Dogwood Road.

Memorials may be offered to Macedonia Cemetery Association Perpetual Care Fund.
