The funeral for Donna Lou Spencer, 77, of Logan will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Boomer Township, Neola, which is south of Beebeetown on L-34 to Sumac Road, and then 1 mile west. The Rev. Charles E. Bichel will officiate.

Mrs. Spencer died June 2 at Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley.

She was born Sept. 10, 1925, in Council Bluffs to Clinton and Ellen M. (Divelbess) O'Neill. She was a 1943 graduate of Beebeetown High School. She and her husband farmed in the Logan area. They resided in Council Bluffs from 1972 until 1987 when they returned to Logan. She was a homemaker. She was of the Lutheran faith.

Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Spencer Jr., on June 5, 2001. They were married 57 years. She was also preceded in death by granddaughter, Margi Lou Spencer, on Nov. 16, 1975.

Survivors include two sons, Ralph "Ed" Spencer III and wife, Ruth, and Bob Spencer and wife, Debbie, all of Logan; daughter, Sue Ellen Blackwell and husband, Thomas, of Logan; grandchildren, Hannah, Luke, Katie, Ellie, Jenna
and Clay Spencer, Molly, Chris and Tim Blackwell; great-granddaughter, Faith Spencer; brother, James R. O'Neill, and wife, Ardyce, of Logan; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harris Grove Memorial, which is south of Logan, 4 1/2 miles on Overton Avenue and 2 miles east on F58.

Burial will be in Grange Cemetery in Honey Creek, followed by a luncheon at St. Paul's Church. Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
