The funeral for Dorothy May Hassen, 79, of Heber Springs, Ark., will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Perry Bishop and Rev. Connie Beck co-officiating.
Mrs. Hassen died June 1 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Ark.
She was born March 17, 1924, in Council Bluffs to James H. and Frances E. (Johnson) Allen. She previously lived in Council Bluffs, moving to Heber Springs in 1999. She was a banker for 35 years and retired from First National Bank in Omaha. She was a member of the Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary of Heber Springs.
Mrs. Hassen was preceded in death by her husband, Galen C, and her sister, Winifred Mass.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, James and Kathryn Allen, of Heber Springs; also other relatives and her many friends.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
