Alta M. Larson, age 92, passed away November 13, 2010, at Bethany Lutheran Home.

Alta was born September 26, 1918, in Neola, Iowa, to the late Jesse and Elsie (O'Neill) Leytham.

Alta had worked for the Council Bluffs Daily Nonpareil and Tober's in Omaha. She was also a member of the Omaha Organ Society, Forever Young Dance Club and Dodge Memorial Christian Church.

Alta was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Larson; brothers, Glen, Roy and Raymond Leytham; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Alta is survived by her nephew, Leslie Leytham; nieces, Jeanine Kruse, Mary Valier, Carol Davis, and Nancy Lenz; and a host of other family and friends. Alta has been cremated.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Council Bluffs.
