The funeral for Larry D. Babcock, 74, of Sartell, Minn., will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Dingmann Family Funeral Chapel in Sauk Rapids, Minn., with the Rev. Al Stangl officiating.

Mr. Babcock died May 22 at St. Cloud VA Medical Center.

He was born July 6, 1928, in Council Bluffs to Francis and Nellie (Beckwith) Babcock. He lived in Council Bluffs until moving to Sartell in 1994. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He worked for Laborer's International in Council Bluffs, retiring in 1973. He was a member of the AFLCIO Local 1140 and VFW Post 737 in Council Bluffs.

Survivors include his sister, Martha Larson of Sartell; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Frances Hatch and Evelyn Seynard; and brothers, Sidney and Gordon.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at 10 a.m. June 4 at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Council Bluffs.
