Corine O. Owens, 84, of Council Bluffs died May 10 at Risen Son Nursing Home.

She was born June 20, 1918, to Stanley J. and Verna B. (Gray) Riche in Council Bluffs.

She was a homemaker and was a member of El Bethel Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Owens, in 1985; a son, Lonnie L., in 1991; a daughter, Verna M. Nickle, in 1999; and a brother, William A. Richie.

She is survived by a son, Roger Owens, and wife, Wendy, of Council Bluffs; two sisters, Dessie Anderson of Council Bluffs, and Stella "Bobbie" Wilcken of Utah; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home.

A graveside service and burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the LaPlatte, Neb., Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Jackson of El Bethel Assembly of God Church officiating. A luncheon will follow at El Bethel Assembly of God Church.

Memorials may be offered to the church.
