The funeral for Isabelle Marie Montgomery, 92, of Council Bluffs will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with her son-in-law, Bishop Fred Lopez, officiating.

Mrs. Montgomery died May 11 in Council Bluffs.
She was born Nov. 3, 1910, in Council Bluffs to James Franklin and Anna Maude Miller Foster. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1930. She was secretary to the police chief and a former traffic clerk for the Council Bluffs Police Department, retiring in 1962 after 21 years of service.

She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she taught primary Sunday school for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben, in 1984.

Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Lopez and husband, Fred, and Melody Mabbit and husband, Ray, all of Council Bluffs; stepsons, Richard Montgomery and wife, Jenny, of Arkansas and John Montgomery and wife, Pat, of Council Bluffs; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be tonight from 6:30 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to Methodist Hospice and Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
