FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Jack Wayland Warford, 83, of Fort Collins, Colo., died May 2 at Poudre Valley Hospital.

He was born July 14, 1919, in Council Bluffs to Jasper William and Myra Elene (Allen) Warford. He married Louise Greer on Jan. 13, 1939, in Council Bluffs. He later married Marion Finlayson on Jan. 15, 1971.

He was a veteran of World War II and a resident of Fort Collins since 1978. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 33 years. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and storytelling. He also enjoyed playing the clarinet and organ and sang with the Omaha Symphony Orchestra.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Marion, include daughters, Janice Aherns of Council Bluffs and Shari Clousing and husband, Larry, of Aptos, Calif.; seven grandchildren and stepgrandchildren; one niece and four nephews.
