William G. "Wild Bill" McCoy, 52, of North Platte, Neb., died May 13 at his home.

He was born June 30, 1950, to Glen and Anna McCoy in Council Bluffs. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1969. He was a car man and welder for Union Pacific Railroad for 22 years, retiring in 2000. He was a Council Bluffs resident for many years before living in Bonne Terre, Mo., from 1998-2001 and then in North Platte. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. McCoy and his wife, Debbie L. (Kallas), were married for 22 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons, Bill Jr., Dennis and Glen, all of North Platte; parents, Glen and Anna McCoy of North Platte; two sisters, Linda Katzenstein and husband, Dan, and Roberta Walter and husband, Lavern, all of North Platte; three brothers, Mike McCoy of Sutherland, Neb., Fred McCoy and wife, Judy, of Cedar Rapids and Pat McCoy and wife, Joanie, of Glenwood.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Delbert Story officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery with a luncheon following at American Legion Club.
