Harry L. Anderson
22 May 2003Harry L. Anderson, 70, of Council Bluffs died May 20 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.
He was born to Jesse R. and Vera (Damon) Anderson Feb. 23, 1933, in Council Bluffs.
He served with the Army in the Korean War and worked as a laborer at ConAgra Foods.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Anderson, March 20, 2002.
He is survived by a stepdaughter, Cheryl Ellis and husband, Mark, of Council Bluffs; a stepson, Don Diamond of Omaha; a half-brother, Robert Damon of Council Bluffs; six step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation with family will be today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. The funeral will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Kukkonen of Emanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow at Garner Township Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by American Legion Rainbow Post No. 2.
Memorials may be offered to the family.
