EMMA, Mo. - The funeral for James M. "Jim" Jones, 60, of Emma, Mo., formerly of Council Bluffs, will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia, Mo., with the Rev. Lee Hagan officiating.

Mr. Jones died May 13 at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, Mo.

He was born in Council Bluffs Sept. 4, 1942, to Merle F. and Violet (Brown) Jones. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He worked for KDRO Radio in Sedalia, Mo., and MCH in Sweet Springs, Mo. He retired from United Parcel Service and had lived in Emma since 1990.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his father, Merle.

He and his wife, Dorothy (Levenhagen), were married Dec. 14, 1963.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Linda Brooks and husband, Timothy, of Kansas City, Mo., and Jennifer Rankin and husband, Chad, of Concordia; two sons, Michael of Clarinda and Andrew and wife, Jennifer, of Concordia; his mother, Violet, of Concordia; a sister, Shirley Bradford of Council Bluffs; a brother, Fred of Omaha; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Friday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the church. Friends may call after 4 p.m.

Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to St. Paul's Lutheran Grade School. Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home Inc. in Marshall, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
