Marilyn A. Caligur

Mass of Christian Burial for Marilyn Ann Caligur, 80, of Eagan, Minn., will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Council Bluffs with the Rev. Chuck Kottas officiating.

Mrs. Caligur died April 19 from congestive heart failure at the N.C. Little Memorial Hospice in Edina, Minn.

A longtime resident of Council Bluffs, she also lived in Omaha and most recently in Eagan. She was raised in the First Baptist Church of Council Bluffs and she later joined. She was also a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society. She was also a longtime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She will be remembered by the many friends she made at Mutual of Omaha, Royale Oaks, and Crowne Point in Omaha; and The Commons on Marice in Eagan. Everywhere she lived she cultivated lasting friendships and will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert; parents, Harry and Ann Evers; sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and William Lausen.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Vicki Caligur of St. Louis; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Todd Bjorklund of Eagan; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Kelly Caligur of Council Bluffs; six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lisa, Ross, Cortney, Clay and Dylan.

Wake service will be Thursday at 6:30 p.m. with visitation to follow until 8:30 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family thanks the staff at Little Hospice for their kindness and compassion. Memorials are preferred to N.C. Little Memorial Hospice, 7019 Lynmar Lane, Edina, MN 55435.
