Vanchie Damgaard

WALNUT - The funeral for LaVanchie Damgaard, 76, of Avondale Estates, Ga., will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Pauley Knutson Funeral Chapel in Walnut with the Rev. Craig zumBrunnen officiating.

Mrs. Damgaard died April 18 at Hospice of Atlanta in Georgia.

She was born in Douglas County, Neb. She previously lived in Walnut and Kalamazoo, Mich. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Damgaard was preceded in death by her husband, LaVerne, on Sept. 9, 1991. They were married 48 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Dr. Jacqueline Damgaard of Avondale Estates and Trudy Schroeder and husband, J.A., of Tustin, Calif.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pauley Knutson Funeral Home in Walnut. Burial will be in Walnut Cemetery.
