The funeral for Robert O. "Ott" Pfeiffer, 76, of Council Bluffs will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer- Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. John Bertogli of St. Patrick's Church officiating.

Mr. Pfeiffer died April 22 at Loess Hills Nursing Home.

He was born June 12, 1926, in Council Bluffs to Harry K. and Josephine V. (Allavie). He was a 1944 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a residential officer for the Department of Corrections from October 1977 to March 1988. Prior to that he worked for Lucy Jewelers. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church.

Survivors include one sister, Carol Torrez, and husband, Don, of Council Bluffs; two nephews, Steven Owen and wife, Trish, of Lincoln, Neb., and Jeffrey Owen and wife, Peggy, of Honey Creek.

Rosary recitation will be Friday at 7 p.m. followed by visitation until 8:30 at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery with a lunch following at St. Patrick's Church Hall.

Memorials may be offered to Multiple Sclerosis Society or a charity of donor's choice.
