MINDEN - The funeral for Paul G. Bintz, 76, of Minden will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Denny Peterson of the Minden United Church of Christ officiating.

Mr. Bintz died April 11 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

He was born Feb. 23, 1927, in Neola to George and Anna (Denbeck) Bintz and graduated from Minden High School in 1945. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired farmer and a 57-year member of American Legion Post No. 437 in Minden.

Mr. Bintz and his wife, Liane L. (Bettcher), were married 50 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include four daughters, Paula Porter of Ashland, Mass., Judy Kinser of Walnut, LaRee Lager and husband, Robert, of Barnard, Mo., Linda Smuck and husband, Jeff, of Buckeye; two sons, Allen Bintz and wife, Marsa, of Falls Church, Va., and Dwayne Bintz and wife, Sue, of Council Bluffs; two brothers, Harold Bintz and wife, Sandra, of Minden and Lloyd Bintz and wife, Lois, of Guymon, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Silver Creek (Valley) in Hancock followed by a luncheon at the American Legion Hall in Minden. Graveside military rites will be given by the American Legion Post No. 437, Minden.

Memorials may be offered to the American Legion Post No. 437 in Minden.
