Margaret M. Hope

Memorial service for Margaret M. Hope, 82, of Omaha will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer- Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Lance L. Bingley, pastor of Believer's Bible Church, officiating. A luncheon will follow at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Hope died April 8 at Montclair Nursing Home in Omaha. She was born Aug. 24, 1920, in Council Bluffs to Thomas and Nellie (Hopkins) Haddakin. She moved to Omaha two years ago with her daughters. She was a 1938 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. She sliced meat at Campbell Soup for 23 years, then worked for Midwest Maintenance cleaning offices. She was a member of Southview Bible Church in Council Bluffs and Believer's Bible Church in Omaha and the Amalgamated Meat Cutters Union.

Mrs. Hope was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Smith, in 1968 and her second husband, Stanley Hope, in 1999.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary E. Smith of Council Bluffs, Theresa Smith and Jeralyn Gorman and husband, Dan, all of Ralston, Neb.; one son, Michael Joseph Smith, and wife, Carol, of Ellicott City, Md.; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.

The body has been cremated and there will be no viewing. Private burial of ashes will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to charity of your choice.
