Viola M. Carlton

The funeral for Viola Mae Carlton, 95, of Omaha, formerly of Council Bluffs, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Chapel with the Rev. Jim Munson and Chaplain Diane Jorgensen of Maple Crest Care Center co-officiating.

Mrs. Carlton died April 6 at Maple Crest Care Center in Omaha.

She was born July 7, 1907, in Council Bluffs. She was a 1925 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. She was a sales clerk and credit manager for Brandeis Department Store with 50 years of service. She was a member of Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church in Omaha.

Mrs. Carlton was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Carlton, in 1987.

Survivors include sons, Rev. Jim Munson of Council Bluffs and Tom Carlton of Omaha; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha.

Memorials may be offered to Maple Crest Care Center in Omaha.
