Jesse M. Bellows

The funeral for Jesse Miles Bellows, 78, of Council Bluffs will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. Don Levenhagen officiating.

Mr. Bellows died April 6 at Indian Hills Nursing Home.

He was born Jan. 10, 1925, in Council Bluffs to Perry Bellows and Della Weidman. He was a carpenter. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He was a volunteer for Lewis Township Fire & Rescue.

Mr. Bellows was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Mortensen), in 1983, and by grandson Jesse Bellows.

Survivors include daughters, Debi Ebke and husband, Steve, of Council Bluffs and Becky Singsaas and husband, Dana, of Lincoln, Neb.; sons, Tim and wife, Jamie, and Mark and wife, Debbie, all of Council Bluffs; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Prayer service will be tonight at 6:30 followed by family visitation until 8:30 at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery with a luncheon to follow back at the church.

Memorials may be offered to Faith Lutheran and Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
